  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup cold butter (cubed)
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup strawberry jam or preserves
  • 1/2 cup fresh strawberries (thinly sliced)
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 tbsp butter (melted)
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • Optional: powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Mix the dough by combining flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Cut in butter until crumbly. Stir in milk just until combined.
  2. Roll dough into a rectangle. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly, then add strawberry jam.
  3. Roll the dough tightly and slice into rounds.
  4. In a bowl, mix flour, brown sugar, and melted butter. Sprinkle crumble over the rolls and press in sliced strawberries.
  5. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20–25 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Adjust sweetness by reducing sugar if preferred.
