Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1 egg
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
20 soft caramel candies (unwrapped)
2 tbsp heavy cream
1 ½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Flaky sea salt, for topping
Instructions
Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla.
Mix in flour, baking powder, and salt until a soft dough forms.
Scoop dough into balls and slightly flatten. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 9–11 minutes until edges are lightly golden. Let cool.
Microwave caramels and heavy cream in 30-second bursts, stirring until smooth and gooey.
Spoon melted caramel over each cookie. Let set for 5 minutes.
Melt chocolate chips and drizzle or spread over the caramel layer.
Top with flaky sea salt while chocolate is still soft. Chill cookies briefly to set.
Notes
Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
For best results, use room temperature butter.
Adjust caramel drizzle thickness by adding more or less heavy cream.
