- 4 slices thick-cut white or sourdough bread
- 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese (or slices)
- 12–16 slices pepperoni
- 2 tbsp pizza sauce (optional spread)
- 2 tbsp softened butter
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp dried Italian herbs
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
- Butter the bread by spreading softened butter on one side of each slice. Sprinkle with garlic powder and Italian herbs.
- On the unbuttered side, layer mozzarella, pepperoni, and a light spread of pizza sauce. Top with the second slice, buttered side out.
- Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Grill sandwiches for 2–3 minutes per side until golden and crispy.
- Remove from heat, let rest for a minute, then slice diagonally. Sprinkle with parsley if desired.
