Ingredients
Scale
8 sheets phyllo dough, thawed
200g (7 oz) feta cheese, crumbled
2 tbsp cream cheese (optional)
1 tbsp chopped parsley or dill
2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter (for brushing)
1/4 cup honey
1 tbsp chili flakes or finely sliced red chili
1 tsp sesame seeds
Salt and pepper to taste
Furikake or everything bagel seasoning (optional for topping)
Instructions
In a bowl, mix crumbled feta, cream cheese, and chopped herbs to make the creamy filling. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Lay out one phyllo sheet, brush with olive oil, then place another sheet on top. Add a spoonful of filling near the edge, fold in the sides, and roll up tightly.
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the rolls seam-side down on a lined baking tray. Brush the tops with more oil and bake for 18–20 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
In a small pan, gently warm the honey with chili flakes or sliced chili. Drizzle over the baked rolls just before serving.
Sprinkle sesame seeds and optional furikake or everything bagel seasoning on top. Garnish with fresh herbs and serve warm.
Notes
Use cream cheese for a smoother, richer filling.
Phyllo sheets dry quickly — keep them covered with a damp cloth while working.
Chili honey can be adjusted to taste — add more or less chili depending on your heat preference.
These rolls are best served fresh and warm for maximum crunch.
