4 slices thick-cut white or sourdough bread
8–10 cooked Italian meatballs
1 cup marinara sauce
1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons butter, softened
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
Heat meatballs in marinara sauce over medium heat until fully warmed and saucy.
Butter one side of each bread slice. On the unbuttered side, layer mozzarella, saucy meatballs, extra marinara, and Parmesan. Top with another slice, buttered side out.
Heat a skillet over medium-low and grill each sandwich 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy. Press gently with a spatula.
Cover the skillet briefly if needed to fully melt the cheese without burning the bread.
Let rest for 1 minute, slice in half, and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve with extra marinara for dipping.
