A creamy, cheesy, comfort food favorite, Cream Cheese Spaghetti Casserole is a layered baked pasta dish made with spaghetti, ground beef, marinara sauce, and a rich cream cheese mixture. Perfect for weeknight dinners or family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz spaghetti
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
  • 1 block (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup sour cream (optional, for extra creaminess)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Boil spaghetti until al dente, drain, and set aside.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Season with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Drain excess grease and stir in marinara sauce. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. In a bowl, mix softened cream cheese with sour cream (if using) until smooth.
  4. In a greased 9×13 baking dish: Spread half the pasta on the bottom. Add the cream cheese mixture and gently spread it over the noodles. Add the rest of the pasta. Top with meat sauce. Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan evenly over the top.
  5. Cover with foil and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 10–15 minutes until bubbly and golden on top.
  6. Let rest for 5–10 minutes. Sprinkle with parsley, slice into squares, and serve.

Notes

  • Sour cream is optional but adds extra creaminess.
  • You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for beef.
  • Make ahead and refrigerate before baking for meal prep convenience.
  • Pairs well with a fresh salad and garlic bread.
