A quick, healthy, and protein-packed savory toast made with cottage cheese and fresh tomatoes on crispy sourdough. Perfect for a high-protein breakfast or an easy clean eating snack.

  • 1 slice of thick-cut sourdough or multigrain bread
  • 1/2 cup cottage cheese (full-fat or low-fat)
  • 1 ripe tomato, sliced
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • Fresh basil, chopped (optional)
  • Salt and freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
  • Optional: sprinkle of everything bagel seasoning or red chili flakes

Instructions

  1. Toast your sourdough slice until golden and crispy.
  2. Spread a generous amount of cottage cheese over the toasted bread.
  3. Layer the fresh tomato slices on top of the cottage cheese.
  4. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt, pepper, and chopped basil (if using).
