A quick and easy dessert with flaky puff pastry, creamy cheese filling, and fresh berries.

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar (plus more for dusting)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup fresh blueberries (or mixed berries)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Optional: lemon zest for a citrusy kick

Instructions

  1. Roll out puff pastry and cut into 4 rectangles. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment.
  2. Mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Spoon cream cheese mix onto each pastry, then top with fresh berries. Add lemon zest if desired.
  4. Fold or leave open-faced, brush edges with egg wash, and bake at 400°F for 15–18 minutes until golden.
  5. Dust with powdered sugar after baking.

Notes

  • Use any berries you prefer.
  • For extra crispiness, bake a few minutes longer.
  • Best served fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
