- 1 lb ground beef
- 12 oz egg noodles
- 1 small onion, finely diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (plus more for topping)
- ½ cup frozen peas (optional)
- Salt & pepper to taste
- ½ cup breadcrumbs (for topping)
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- Fresh parsley (for garnish)
- Brown ground beef with diced onion and garlic in a skillet until fully cooked. Drain excess grease.
- Cook egg noodles in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large bowl, mix sour cream, mushroom soup, shredded cheese, salt, pepper, and cooked beef. Stir in peas if using.
- Combine with noodles and pour into a greased baking dish. Top with extra cheese and a mix of breadcrumbs and melted butter.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25–30 minutes until bubbly and golden. Garnish with fresh parsley.
